We are pleased to announce that Nora Han (Ji Sun Han) passed her PhD viva voce examination on Monday 11 December 2023. Nora’s thesis ‘To what extent does the EU usefully promote economic and social rights through human rights clauses in its trade agreements?’ was supervised by Dr Jeff Kenner (Professor of European Law, University of Nottingham) and Dr Scarlett McArdle (Assistant Professor in Law, University of Nottingham).
The examiners were Dr Nicholas Hatzis (Associate Professor in Law, University of Nottingham) and Lorand Bartels MBE (Professor of International Law, University of Cambridge). Peter Bartlett (Professor of Mental Health Law, University of Nottingham) served as the chair of the examination.
