General Information
The School of Life Sciences, or SoLS as we are known by, is one of the largest Schools at the University of Nottingham based on the main University park Campus and in the Medical School Building. We span research and teaching in biological, sports and biomedical sciences dedicated to making meaningful contributions to global health and sustainability in a supportive and professional environment. The School is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, along with the Schools of Medicine, Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine and Science.

All our courses have been updated and redesigned for 2026 to embrace modern integrated teaching focussed on skills-based teaching informed by our world-class research and designed with our students and key employers to maximise the career potential of our graduates. We also make major contributions to Pharmacy (MPharm), Nutrition and Dietetics (MNutr) and Medicine (BMedSci).
