HERMES Call 6 Opened - New Category Announced

MESSAGE FROM PROFESSOR KWANG-LEONG CHOY, ACADEMIC DIRECTOR of HERMES FELLOWSHIP SCHEME:

A call is announced for applications to the latest round of HERMES Fellowship funding. Expressions of Interest should be submitted to David Southall before the deadline of 9am, Monday 28th October to allow shortlisting for full applications. Documentation can be downloaded from

http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/fabs/beis/technologytransferandcommercialisation/hermes-fellowships.aspx.

I am also pleased to announce the introduction of a new category to be supported by the HERMES Fellowship Scheme, aimed specifically at applications from the faculties of Arts and Humanities. This new category will allow dedicated support for an area currently under-represented.

The Travel Bursary Scheme introduced earlier this year for early career researchers is also available.

I would also like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the launch of a new Impact Exploration Grant that is intended to form part of the University’s funding escalator that takes pure research through to use in society. The Exploration Grant is supported by the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account, so must be focussed on EPSRC-funded research. Guidance and documentation is available at https://workspace.nottingham.ac.uk/display/KTF/Impact+Exploration+Grants. For further details, please contact Tanya McCallum in RGS.

Kind Regards

Kwang-Leong
