Research Support Technician, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences

Having completed a Degree in Biochemistry, a Master in Environmental sciences, Chemistry and Health, and a PhD in Chemistry, I left the science for a couple of years and focused on its management. However my nurturing spirit brought me back into Research and Teaching by taking a technical position at the School of Life Sciences at the Queen Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Expertise Summary

My technical expertise is based around Molecular Biology/Biochemistry and includes subcloning, site-directed mutagenesis, gene expression, protein/antibody purification, immunoblotting, pull down assay. I have also considerable experience running standard HPLC and analysing data using common software packages. I have also learnt to culture cells.

Teaching Summary

- Teaching of practical courses at the School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham.

- Demonstration in the laboratory for UG/Msci/MedSci/PhD students.

- Participated to the Associate Teaching Program (ATP).

Research Summary
