The University of Nottingham only holds records relating to a limited number of Nottingham hospitals.

 

The Hospital Records Database, a joint project of the Wellcome Library and The National Archives, provides information on the existence and location of the records of UK hospitals.

Many records relating to other hospitals in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are held at Nottinghamshire Archives. Collections from Nottingham City and Sherwood Hospitals (formerly Uhcs), Mapperley Hospital (formerly Uhm), and Saxondale Hospital (formerly Uhs) were transferred from the University of Nottingham to Nottinghamshire Archives in 2001.
