Clinical Trials concentrated primarily on pharmacological interventions in acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina with the aim of improving outcome, in terms of survival, symptoms and further resource need.

Research Summary

The Clinical Trials that I am currently involved in or for which I have DSMB or executive commoittee responsibilities are:

TRA 2P - a platelet thrombin receptor antagonist in acute coronary syndromes.

MRC - ILA - an interleukin 1 receptor antagonist in NSTEMI.

STREAM - pre-hospital thrombolysis versus primary PCI for STEMI.

TRILOGY - prasugrel versus clopidogrel in patients with acute coronary syndromes scheduled for medical therapy.
