Professor Morgan is an economic historian of China, but his research spans many topics related to business, economy and society from the 18th Century to the present day.
A major area of his research is focussed on nutrition, human welfare and the standard of living.
Recent interests include issues of innovation and the future of China's development.
Previous media experience include; foreign correspondent and editor with the Geelong Advertiser, South China Morning Post, Hong Kong Standard and the Far eastern Economic Review.
