Abigail's specialist area is intelligence studies and specifically, how the intelligence services engage with the public. She also looks at the role of popular culture and news journalism in the portraying of images to the public. Intelligence accountability and oversight, activities by the British Intelligence Services, Media representations of the Intelligence Services, Intelligence accountability problems, and Intelligence politicisation are also areas in which she has expertise in and could provide commentary.
