Dr Tobias Bast studies the brain mechanisms of behaviour and cognition, as well as of neuropsychiatric and cognitive disorders. His research focusses on learning and memory, especially spatial learning and memory. Fear and anxiety.
He is happy to talk the media about pharmacological treatments, including cognitive enhancers. Cognitive disorders, including dementias, anxiety and fear, and schizophrenia, primarily from a neuroscience perspective.
Tobias is fluent in German and English.
