nmRC SEM images of Saharan dust on BBC News

After the sky appeared red earlier this week, the nmRC's Dr Beth Steer collected dust particles from her car windscreen to take a look at them under a scanning electron microscope (SEM). She was able to look at the particles at the micrometre length scale that arrived from the Sahara by the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia. The BBC quickly picked up on the story and you can read the full BBC article to find out more.
