Biography

My pharmacy journey began at the University of Nottingham where I graduated with a First Class Hons in 2017. I thoroughly enjoyed my placements at Nottingham University Hospitals throughout my time at the university, leading me to undertake my Pre-Registration year there. Throughout my Pre-Registration year I was able to gain an excellent understanding of hospital pharmacy and wanted to pursue a career in this sector.

In August 2018 I started my shift-working residency programme in Nottingham University Hospitals. Throughout this time I worked on a variety of wards including respiratory, cardiology, surgery, urology, elderly care and stroke rehabilitation. Alongside my ward commitments I was also able to work in the out-of-hours late-night Pharmacy. I have also been working towards my Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with De Montfort University.

I joined the School of Pharmacy as Teacher Practitioner in Spring 2019 where I work on Mondays, Tuesdays and alternate Wednesdays at the University Park Campus site, and the remaining days as part of the clinical pharmacy team in the surgery department of Queens Medical Centre.
