PhD student Claire Sweetenham has won a Vice-Chancellor's Achievement Award for her contribution to the outreach work of the School of Physics and Astronomy, in particular for introducing the concept of "Physics Busking", presenting hand-held science tricks to the public. Claire was presented with her award by radio broadcaster and University of Nottingham alumni Matthew Bannister at the Alumni Laureate Awards 2010 on 22nd September at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
