Induction for Incoming Students

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your success in gaining a place at the University of Nottingham and to bid you a warm welcome. We are looking forward to you joining us and we hope your stay in Nottingham will be happy, enjoyable and successful.

Undergraduate induction

Course induction will take place on Monday 24 September 2018 at 2:00pm in Lecture Theatre B1 in the main Physics Building (#22 on the campus map). All first-year BSc and MSci students on the following courses should attend:

Our Head of School, Senior Tutor, year leaders and support staff will be there to welcome you to Nottingham and the School of Physics & Astronomy. Immediately after your induction, you will meet your personal tutor to discuss your particular course and to arrange your weekly tutorial sessions.

Bursaries & Scholarships for new students

The University offers a range of  Bursaries and Scholarships for incoming students.

Postgraduate induction

Induction for postgraduate students will take place on Monday 24 September 2018 at 10:00am in room A113 in the Centre for Astronomy and Particle Theory (building #25 on the campus map). The meeting will provide an introduction to life as a postgraduate student and we will distribute important information on various aspects of your studies. A free buffet lunch is included.
