School of Politics and International Relations

Your relationship with the University of Nottingham doesn't end when you graduate. We have many ways for our alumni to get involved and keep in touch, and help to inspire students currently studying with us.

Your career

As a graduate of the University of Nottingham, you can continue to use the Careers and Employability Service to help you build your career. They provide guidance and advice, run events, and have a job vacancy service.

Get involved

Give your time

Can you give your time to help inspire, share your knowledge and stories with our students and staff or mentor our budding entrepreneurs? We have a range of opportunities whether you have 30 minutes or want a more long term commitment, whether you are at home or at work, or if you can come to Nottingham or live across the world. There is something to suit everyone and your support will make a huge difference. Find out more about the opportunities available.

The Careers and Employability Service's eMentoring scheme enables alumni, who have a registered a career profile, to extend their volunteering activities and mentor a current student or recent graduate. Find out more about how you can become an eMentor.

Support the University

Donations from the University's community of alumni, students, parents and staff have created the fund Cascade, to support transformative student projects. Judged by a panel of leading alumni donors, the fund awards up to £25,000 to projects that will enrich the lives of our students and people across the world. Find out more about supporting the University.
