Funding success for four politics students

Congratulations to four SPIR students who have successfully secured funding to support their internships abroad.

Killian Bachmair, Chloe Green, Nesrin Ahmet and Shivani Thakar are all undertaking a summer research project with the Rosie May Foundation in Sri Lanka, where they will assess the impact of ‘Project Hope’, a scheme set up to support single mothers.

Thanks to their application to the Cascade Fund, they now have £2000 to support their trip.

The Cascade Fund was set up to provide Nottingham students with the opportunity to develop their skills, social awareness and employability while making a significant impact on communities at home and around the world
If you would like to find out more about funding opportunities which could support your placement, please visit our Placements and Internships (Social Sciences) moodle page and look for ‘Funding opportunities’.
