School of Politics and International Relations MA Scholarship 2021/22
The School of Politics and International Relations is delighted to announce the availability of five scholarship opportunities to study on one of our MA programmes for the 2021/22 academic year.
The scholarships are £2,000 (each) for a maximum of one year. The scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis, with applications being ranked by a school panel, whose judgement is final.
Eligibility criteria
The scholarships aim to support students from a diverse range of backgrounds. Applicants need to satisfy one of the following criteria:
- Have attended a Sutton Trust Summer School
- Were in receipt of a 16-19 bursary
- Are in receipt of a means-tested welfare benefit
Additional eligibility criteria:
- Postgraduate taught students, holding an offer to study full-time (new applicants only)
- Meet the residency requirements for a ‘home’ student and be liable for the relevant home fee
- Not be receiving external sponsorship for your course - for example from industry/employers (University Core bursaries and Government grants do not affect your eligibility)

School of Politics and International Relations PhD Scholarship 2021/22
We are now accepting applications for two PhD Scholarships for prospective students commencing a PhD (full-time) in the School of Politics and International Relations during the 2021/22 academic year.
The scholarships awarded are £5,000 per year for a maximum of three years (contingent on maintaining satisfactory academic progress). These awards will be offered on a competitive basis, with applications being ranked by a school panel, whose judgement is final.
Eligibility criteria
- Prospective postgraduate research students, holding an offer to study full-time (new applicants only)
- Meet the residency requirements for a ‘home’ student and be liable for the relevant home fee
