We are delighted to announce that School of Politics and International Relations doctoral researcher Khalid Jarral has recently passed his PhD viva with minor corrections.
Khalid's thesis 'Economic Diplomacy: deciphering the case of Sino-Pakistani economic relations' examines diplomatic agency in the realist conception of diplomacy. It explores the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and Gwadar port development in relation to strategic interests as factors shaping contemporary economic diplomacy, and does so by analysing the decision-making and negotiations processes.
Congratulations Dr Jarral!
