We are delighted to announce that School of Politics and International Relations doctoral researcher Anna Silander has recently passed her PhD viva, subject to minor amendments.
Anna’s thesis ‘The Un-Taming of the Discourse: Radical right-wing populist parties and the effect of different institutional roles’ examines whether being in the opposition, in the government or supporting a minority government impacts European radical right-wing populist parties’ discourse. Starting at the end of the Cold War, the thesis studies the parties’ election manifestos and their leaders’ writings and speeches.
Her thesis was examined by Dr Simon Toubeau and Professor Daphne Halikiopoulou (University of Reading).
Congratulations Anna!
