This week we are featuring a paper from Dr. Walter van Heuven who is part of the Cognition and Language group within the School of Psychology. His paper ‘High variability phonetic training in adaptive adverse conditions is rapid, effective and sustained’ shows that a novel training technique to improve speech perception, which involves adaptive levels of background noise, is rapid, effective and sustained.
