Biography

I am an associate professor in the School of Psychology and the school's Senior Tutor.

I run the Psychology Learning and Teaching Enhancement (PLATE) group. This group meets regularly and aims to improve learning and teaching within the School.

I am a Senior Fellow of the HEA.

One of my main teaching responsibilities is the academic development of first-year students. This is mainly delivered through workshops (e.g., how to learn, research skills, writing skills, and software skills). I am interested in applying research from Psychology to learning at university (e.g., the testing effect, the spacing effect).
