Jack Walker is a PhD candidate with the Graduate Centre for International Agriculture. Jack’s project explores 'The use of wild relatives to improve salt tolerance in wheat'. Jack is supervised by Dr Surbhi Grewal, Professor Julie King and Dr Jonathan Atkinson (University of Nottingham) as well as Dr Malcolm Hawkesford (Rothamsted Research). Prior to starting a PhD, Jack was a research technician at the university's Wheat Research Centre. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology from the University of Portsmouth.
