Tanvir is a PhD candidate with the International Agriculture DTP. His PhD research project is titled 'Exploring genetic diversity in rice for better nitrogen recycling and reduced ammonia emission under stress'. Tanvir's research is focused on increasing the nitrogen assimilation efficiency in rice under high temperatures. Tanvir is supervised by Dr Sigrid Heuer (Rothamsted Research), Dr Erik Murchie (University of Nottingham), and Dr Kazuki Saito (AfricaRice).
