Simon Ridgway is the Associate Director in charge of Operations for the Future Food Beacon. Simon is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) who managed finances in various trusts within the NHS before moving into financial/research administration in a number of universities. After working at the University of East Anglia (Norwich) and Sheffield Hallam University, Simon was appointed to the role of Finance Manager for the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia). After 8 years in Australia, he moved back to Europe to take up a similar position at Trinity College Dublin before joining the Future Food Beacon in the summer of 2017. Simon’s role is to manage all aspects of the operations for the Beacon.
