The domestic slaves rescued from London's richest streets

Professor Dame Sarah Thornton was the UK’s Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner from 2019 until last year, and is now Rights Lab Professor of Practice in Modern Slavery Policy at the University of Nottingham.Talking on Channel 4 news with Ciaran Jenkins she says it is "shameful" to see modern slavery perpetrated in London’s most affluent areas.She said: "The first thing that struck me was the courage of the survivors and the rescuers, because clearly they were doing something that was quite risky."
