3D Bioprinting in Medicine

Identifying improvements in manufacturing systems

The project involves ongoing work towards a journal publication on the additive manufacture of personalised pharmaceuticals for niche markets. Based on experiments of printing tablets with different geometries, dosages and capacity utilisation; different factors were identified for the improvement of the manufacturing system for industrial adoption. In addition, the project team has engaged with the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) for the public policy issue about ‘3D Bioprinting in Medicine’. This document will be published on UK Parilament POST www.parliament.uk
