Our volunteers spent the Science Fun Day entertaining, engaging, and educating visitors with our "great greeting experiment" showing how bacteria can transfer across hands through common greetings like a handshake - as well as letting people handle real hip implants, urinary catheters, and talking about the differences between biomaterials.
We spoke to the public about the grant's work into developing new biomaterials and their potential clinical applications, as well as new ways of drug delivery that we investigate and develop.
