Description

Claire Hardgrave is Head of Insolvency Practitioner Regulation at the UK Insolvency Service, an Executive Agency of the UK Government, within the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. It’s mission is to deliver economic confidence by supporting those in financial distress, tackling financial wrongdoing and maximising returns to creditors. Claire has worked in a number of Government Departments and has notably championed diversity and inclusion in all of her roles.

Claire is visiting the University on 16 November 2022 to offer a presentation on the wide and varied careers open to graduates in the area of ‘insolvency’ generally. Insolvency can affect both companies and people, and, and the challenge of managing a huge range of insolvency-related matters offer career opportunities that are exciting, rewarding and diverse. This presentation will offer insight into the gateways into careers in this areas and where those careers can take you. It will be of interest to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, and whilst working in insolvency is often commercially orientated it also of significant social importance.  

The presentation will take place at 11am – to 12.30pm in room E07 Monica Partridge Building and will be co-hosted by Dr Sandra Frisby, Ms Simge Aslan and Mr Mohammed Khan, and we look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a stimulating presentation.”
