Research Associate/Fellow opportunity

Are you interested in thermal spray deposition techniques for the deposition of novel silicon carbide coatings?

A Research Associate/Fellow position has opened to work in an Innovate UK funded project "Development of a novel Silicon Carbide thermal spraying process". This project, involving an innovative European company and three other leading manufacturers in the UK, will investigate ceramic feedstock development (oxide and carbide materials) and the thermal spraying process from powder and suspension, as well as characterise the produced coatings and study their tribology behaviour.

Candidates must have experience with one or more of the following areas: ceramic materials, surface engineering and thermal spray coatings. You will be joining a friendly team and have access to world/class facilities for manufacturing, testing and modelling.
