Viking Age runic inscription from Sockburn Hall
This event and the excursion are now fully booked.
Following the successful international expansion of Uppsala's Runråd, to Harvard and Oslo last year, and to Orkney in May 2015, the eighth full-day runic colloquium will be held in Nottingham on Friday 6th March 2015.
Download the programme here.
The colloquium will be free (including coffee, lunch and tea), but the number of available places is limited, so please do register using the link to the registration URL above. If you want to book accommodation, you can find some suggestions here: or contact tracy.stead@nottingham.ac.uk for advice and help.
On Friday night, colloquium participants are invited (at your own expense) for dinner at a pub in Nottingham. If you would like to join in this, please email Tracy Stead (tracy.stead@nottingham.ac.uk) not later than Thursday 26th February.
There will be an all-day excursion on Saturday the 7th March to (provisional itinerary) Crowle, Skelton-in-Cleveland, Sockburn and Kirby Misperton. The cost of the excursion will be £25, payable on Friday the 6th (cash or credit card). If you would like to join the excursion, please email Tracy Stead (tracy.stead@nottingham.ac.uk) not later than Thursday 26th February. For further information, please contact either Tracy or Judith.jesch@nottingham.ac.uk.
We look forward to welcoming you to Nottingham!
