The tweflth annual Midlands Viking Symposium will be in Nottingham on Saturday 23 April 2016. The theme will be 'Interpreting the Viking Age' and there will be talks on saving the Oseberg ship with science, stable isotopes, place-names around the Viking diaspora, Viking Yorkshire, and remembering the early medieval past in Iceland. The cost of the Symposium is £30, including lunch and refreshments, or £20 for students/unwaged. Please register by 19 April using the University of Nottingham Store.
