Research Training in Norse and Viking Studies

The AHRC has recently awarded £60K to the CSVA as lead applicant in a consortium providing skills training for PhD students and early career researchers in the field of Old Norse-Icelandic and Viking Studies. The consortium, whose other core members are the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, has since 2008 provided a variety of training programmes for junior researchers in this field - read about these past programmes and the current 2012-13 programme on our Research Training page. The most recent award is for Languages, Myths and Finds: Translating Norse and Viking Cultures for the 21st Century. This programme will be delivered in cooperation with The British Museum and will be linked to their Vikings exhibition opening on 4 March 2014. More information on this programme will be available on this website in the Spring of 2013.
