Extending Academic Research about the Viking Diaspora and its heritage in the British Isles

A consortium led by the University of Oxford, in collaboration with the Universities of Cambridge, Nottingham, and the Highlands and Islands, has been awarded £44,932 by the AHRC for a skills training programme for PhD students and ECRs in the field of Old Norse-Icelandic and Viking Studies: Extending Academic Research about the Viking Diaspora and its heritage in the British Isles. The programme will take place in 2013.

This award follows on from two previous research training awards, led by the University of Nottingham (2008-10) and the University of Cambridge (2010-12). Further details of all three awards are on the Research Training page.
