    Gabriela Babnik is a Slovene novelist and translator with a particular interest in Burkina Faso. Her first novel Koža iz bombaža won the Best First Novel Award at the Slovenian Book Fair in 2007. She is the translator of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel Half of a Yellow Sun into Slovene. She will be giving a talk on her translation work, to which all are warmly invited. This event is held in conjunction with the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies
