Widening Participation and Outreach programmes and events

 

Nottingham Sutton Trust Summer Schools

An opportunity for Year 12 students from state-maintained schools and colleges.

Participants will spend a week exploring university life and course options ahead of UCAS at our free residential summer schools. Those that meet certain eligibility may also qualify for an enhanced contextual offer and bursary. Applications close on 5 March 2026.

University wide subject specific opportunities and events

 

A number of schools and departments across the University also run outreach activities in specific subjects. These activities include demonstrations in schools, taster days held at the University and support from current students within the schools.

Other opportunities and resources

The EMWPREP outreach research project is closing, and all data will be securely transferred to the national HEAT service to continue supporting educational research and widening access to higher education. To find out more click here.

Using the University libraries

There are ten libraries across the University’s UK campuses containing a wealth of resources on a myriad of subjects. Library staff are keen to give local schools access to these. Please visit the school group visit page for further information.
