Do we have to pay to take part in The University of Nottingham’s Primary School Programmes?
All of our programmes are free to eligible schools. Check here to see if your school is eligible.

Are your activities suitable for all year groups?
We have both KS1 and KS2 programmes available. Within the KS2 programme, some of our activities are designed for year 5 and 6 only, but the majority are available for all KS2. Please see our activity webpages for details on each individual activity before applying.

How many sessions can I book for my school?

KS2

We recommend booking programmes for an entire year group within your school. We welcome applications for multiple year groups but cannot guarantee that we will be able to allocate all requested sessions.

KS1

Our current KS1 programme consists of 3 sessions. We recommend booking this programme for all year 2 classes within your school. Programmes will be allocated based on demand.

When can I apply?

Our team email all our eligible schools about upcoming programmes at different times of the year with information about available provision and how to apply

How can I give feedback on The University of Nottingham’s Primary School Programmes?

After a programme has been completed, we will give you a short survey to complete. You can also provide feedback by phone or email us. Feedback from schools is a really important part of our evaluation process and it helps us to improve all of the work we do.

Are the Learning Leader student volunteers trained?
Yes, all our Learning Leader volunteers undertake training in lesson planning, classroom and behaviour management and safeguarding. They are not trained/trainee teachers but they are developing skills for potential careers in education. As volunteers they are not DBS checked and must be supervised by school staff at all times.
