I am preparing for results day.

How to prepare...

Here’s what to expect once you receive your results....

On the day itself, you’re likely to find yourself in one of three situations:

You meet the conditions of your firm choice

If you meet the conditions of your offer, as detailed on UCAS Track, you do not need to contact us to confirm your place. You can use UCAS Track to view the status of your application.

How we receive your results

We receive a number of results directly from the examining boards via UCAS.

Applicants who have taken the following qualifications do not need to send in confirmation of your results:

  • A levels and AS levels
  • BTEC
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Scottish Advanced Highers
  • Scottish Advanced Highers
  • Welsh Baccalaureate

Your results will be compared against your offers and you’ll hear about your place through UCAS. You’ll then receive pre-registration information directly from the University.

Is your qualification not listed above?

If you are not taking a qualification listed above, once you have received your results it is your responsibility to forward official confirmation of all results included in your conditional offer to the University.

  • By email - Certificates and transcripts will be accepted by email only if they are sent by a school or college, or one of our official overseas representatives. Copies should be sent to: results@nottingham.ac.uk
  • Printed copies - If an official representative or school/college cannot send results by email for you, applicants should send printed copies.

Please do not send originals, which are you need to keep for your visa application.

These copies must be stamped and signed as true copies by a Notary Public (a professional who has authority to certify legal documents) or the British Council.

Results should be sent to the Admissions Office via courier:

  • The deadline for providing us with all of the results is specified in your offer, which you can view on your UCAS track.
  • Further advice for international applicants is available from the International Office.

You have not been accepted by your firm choice

However, you might meet those of your insurance choice.

You’ll hear through UCAS about being accepted by your insurance choice, and then you'll receive pre-registration information directly from the University.
