Biography

I have a Ph.D. in Social Policy from the University of Edinburgh. My thesis aimed to explain the evolution of Mexico's social policy in the last three decades, with a particular focus on conditional cash transfers. Previously, I worked at the School of Social and Political Science (Edinburgh Uni) conducting the tutorials of the courses "Understanding Public Policy" and "Evidence, Politics, and Policy". Likewise, I have been involved in research projects in various organisations on topics of social policy and public administration including Oxfam, the University of Vienna, Monterrey Tech, and public bodies in Mexico. Currently, I teach the UG seminar "Introduction to Social Policy" and the PG seminars "State, Business, and Civil Society" and "Research Methods and Research Management" at the School of Sociology and Social Policy (Nottingham Uni).
