The University of Nottingham is placed =70th in the world and in the top 1% of Universities internationally by the latest (2015) QS World University Rankings
In UK league tables, the University has maintained its position in the top 30 UK Universities for 2016/7.

The University of Nottingham was also shortlisted for the Times Higher Education ‘University of the Year’ in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey (published April 2015), which polls student opinion on 21 aspects of university life, placed Nottingham 12th in the UK.
The Times Good University Guide 2016 states:
"… Nottingham is the nearest Britain has to a truly global university. A member of the Russell Group of research intensive universities, it is in the top 70 in the QS World University Rankings…
