The Estate Office centrally manages all of the servicing requirements and development for the University of Nottingham’s buildings and grounds. Our team of engineers, surveyors, architects and service specialists:

• manage the design and implementation of new build projects, including many award-winning buildings
• implement alterations and improvements to existing buildings
• carry out routine and planned maintenance activities

Over 38,000 jobs per year – from dripping taps to major building works - are co-ordinated and prioritised by our helpdesk.

The office is also responsible for:

• security and University Card services
• transport, mail and archive services
• maintenance of the campus grounds and sports fields
• environmental issues
• managing car parking and traffic regulations
• managing the free hopper bus which runs between campuses
