INITIAL TRAINING NETWORK

InNovATe: The Systematic Integration of Novel Aerospace technologies. A Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Initial Training Network delivering the next generation of highly skilled engineers and scientists able to understand, undertake and support state-of-the art technological activities and challenges for the aero-sector in a truly multidisciplinary environment.

This ambitious programme of work sought to train, nurture and develop the skillset of thirteen Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) employed under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Initial Training Network (ITN), InNovATe. The expertise of the team was broad, ranging from electrical and mechanical engineers to human factors specialists and computer scientists. As such, as well as having a residence in the Aerospace Technology Centre (ATC), each ESR was also placed in one of the many research groups across the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science at the University of Nottingham. In their research groups they pursued their individual PhD’s and in the ATC they performed aerospace themed collaborative work.
