The space sector is extremely varied field with a broad range of careers. The interdisciplinary approach of the sector means that a wide range of degrees offered at the university has a route into a space career.

The space sector in the East Midlands is worth £20 million, the majority of which is accounted for by space manufacturing.
While there are many large space companies in the UK, 71% of employers within the sector are small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).
