Research summary

Background:

Achieving covid-19 vaccine equity across all population groups in the UK remains an important policy implementation challenge. Some groups, including ethnic minorities, have a lower uptake of the vaccine. Nottinghamshire County Council Public Health ran a place-based vaccination drive to address vaccine hesitancy and increase its uptake. An important intervention included in the drive is to offer covid-19 vaccination in pop-up clinics in locations with a relatively low uptake.

This research will explore the views of individuals having the vaccine and those who are still hesitant. The research will also explore the views of the staff involve in the delivery of the vaccine programme. The staff perspective will highlight challenges and facilitators in achieving vaccine equity for the targeted population groups.
