In Memoriam

Professor Klaus Abbink

Professor Abbink was an internal CeDEx Fellow from 2001 to 2006 and was a CeDEx External Fellow thereafter. He was at Monash Business School for more than a decade where he was Director of the Monash Laboratory for Experimental Economics.

Research Interests
Professor Abbink's research interests were: experimental economics; applied game theory; behavioural economics; political economy; and development economics.

Professor Abbink passed away on 15 March 2023.

 

Professor John Morgan

Professor Morgan was the Oliver E. Williamson and Dolores J. Williamson Chair in the Economics of Organizations at Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, and a CeDEx External Fellow for many years. 

Research Interests
Professor Morgan's research interests were: competition in online markets, elections and polling, communication in organisations and experimental economics.

Professor Morgan passed away on 6th October 2021.

Professor Dr Reinhard Selten

Professor Selten was a co-winner of the 1994 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, he was also Research Coordinator at the University of Bonn and a founding External CeDEx Fellow.

Research Interests
Professor Selten's research interests were: theories of bounded rationality; game theory and its applications; and experimental economics.

Professor Selten passed away on 23 August 2016.
