In school I really disliked literature and was very worried about studying it as part of my degree. However, the range of readings - including the mix of film and play scripts - really engaged me in the course. It was very helpful to try new things and then tailor my studies to my newfound interests. This year I even found myself optionally choosing to write on poetry!
