This database was developed by Alan Sommerstein, Andrew Bayliss and Isabelle Torrance (Department of Classics, University of Nottingham) with the assistance of Richard Tyler-Jones (Information Services, University of Nottingham) and Teri Browett (Humanities Research Centre, University of Nottingham) and with the aid of a Research Project Grant from the Leverhulme Trust.
It is designed to contain all passages in Greek texts, both literary and inscriptional, composed between the introduction of alphabetic writing and the year 322 BC that contain, report, or refer to oaths or acts of swearing.
