  • New chair of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment Programme (HTA) Commissioning Board - Professor Hywel Williams, Director of the Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology at The University of Nottingham, has been appointed as the new chair of the NIHR HTA Commissioning Board – which considers the scientific merit of research applications to promote health, prevent and treat disease and improve rehabilitation and long term care.

  • BBC Radio 4 Case Notes, Dr Mark Porter visited the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology to interview Hywel and the team for Case Notes, focusing on the eczema research carried out at the Centre. Research Update

  • Vitiligo Research Website The vitiligo on-line survey is now closed. The results of the survey will be used to develop a list of the Top 10 most important questions in the field of vitiligo. For more information go to: http://www.vitiligostudy.org.uk

  • PATCH study (Prohylactic Antibiotics for the Treatment of Cellulitis at Home) has now successfully recruited 200 trial participants. For further information on the study please go to the PATCH study website
  • BLISTER now open to recruiting The UK DCTN BLISTER study is now open for recruitment. This study is looking into the uncommon condition of bullous pemphigoid. Further information on the BLISTER website
  • STOP GAP - Study of Treatments for Pyoderma Gangrenosum Patients. This trial is now open to recruitment. For ruther information about the study please go to the STOP GAP website.
