Laptop and tablet loans
Laptop and tablet loan schemes are available to fit University members’ different needs.
The different laptop loans schemes are:
iPads and Galaxy Tabs are also available for loan in some of our larger libraries.
The conditions for all the University laptop and tablet loans schemes are as follows:

you must have a valid University Card, username and password

you will be fined if laptops/tablets are returned late

you will be charged for any loss or damage to the laptop/tablet
Library laptop and tablet loans
Students and staff can borrow laptops (running Windows 7 and Office 2010) and tablets for three hour periods for use in the library only:

laptops are available in Hallward Library, George Green Library, Greenfield Medical Library, Djanogly Learning Resource Centre, Business Library, James Cameron-Gifford Library and Manuscripts and Special Collections

Galaxy Tabs are available in Greenfield Medical Library and Hallward Library

iPads are available in George Green Library, Greenfield Medical Library and Hallward Library.

laptops and tablets can be borrowed from library lending desks

laptops and tablets must be returned before library lending desks close (dependant on library opening times)

One week laptop loans
Students can borrow laptops for one week from Cripps Computing Centre service point through the laptop booking system:

email student-laptop-hire@nottingham.ac.uk with the following information: name, student ID number, username and contact phone number

you will receive an email when a laptop is available for collection (subject to availability)

laptops must be returned after one week, in person to Cripps Computing Centre South. Laptops should not be returned anywhere else

all laptops have a carrying case and are network ready. They have a DVD drive, run Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 is installed. The user can install additional software if they wish.
Longer term loans
Longer term loans for students can only be authorised by the Financial Support Team, Student Services if your access to computing facilities is constrained by financial hardship.
