The aims of Technology Enhanced Learning are to:
- provide core material online, allowing more focused student-staff contact time
- broaden the range of learning activities for students
- help with specific teaching issues and with increasing student numbers
- encourage collaborative learning
The Learning technology section supports academics in the creation and delivery of eLearning materials through several tools including:
The Learning Technology Section also undertakes more specialist projects and is happy to discuss any ideas relating to technology and learning. Requests for any of these services should be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Training is available for staff in various aspects of eLearning, for example, in the use of Moodle or online assessments. Please see the 'IT and Information Skills' area of the Professional Development Short Course website.
We have a regular eLearning community meeting showcasing eLearning initiatives within the University (first Wednesday of every month).
