This exhibition looks at the experience of maternity in the East Midlands. It focuses primarily on the twentieth century, and explores pregnancy, birth and the early weeks of caring for a new baby.
Drawing on a variety of sources, including interviews with mothers and midwives and photographs, the exhibition includes material from the Manuscripts and Special Collections at the University of Nottingham.
At the Weston Gallery, Lakeside, University Park, from Friday 13th January until Sunday 15th April 2012. About the exhibition
