nnnc Official Opening June 2007

The Nottingham Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre was formally opened by Professor Sir Harry Kroto FRS, Nobel Laureate on Monday 18th June.
The opening included a mini-symposium of lectures from internationally leading figures in nanoscience including: 

Professor Colin Humphreys CBE, Goldsmiths’ Professor of Materials Science, Cambridge University 

Dr. Don Eigler, IBM Fellow, IBM Almaden Research Center 

Professor Sir Fraser Stoddart FRS, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of California at Los Angeles 

Professor Sir Harry Kroto FRS, Nobel Laureate, Florida State University

The event took place in the new Nottingham Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre, a purpose built facility situated in University Park Campus, University of Nottingham.
